Team Building Activities to Do Indoors, Part I

Hiring a party venue for a great corporate gathering is a wonderful idea.  It is also a great time to take advantage of the many different team building activities that exist today.  Choose the right set of games and you will have everyone laughing and creating memories that will last long into the year, and beyond.

Human Foosball This first activity will require a bit of space, but it is well worth rearranging tables and chairs (if necessary) to make room for human foosball. It begins with two or four long sticks or pipes (we recommend thin PVC piping).  Depending on the number of participants, you can have two or three people per pole.  Hands are not to leave the PVC during play.  Some will tie hands to the pole, but that is not necessary for enjoyment of the game.  Beneath each pole, a line should be marked out with painters tape.  Then, set up your players just like the classic foosball table would be, including a goalie at each end.  Use a soft playground ball and see who can score five shots first.

Marble Movement This game is a lot of fun.  Again, you will need some props, including marbles and plastic cups.  You will also need some form of pipe to move the marble through.  This could be paper towel cardboard centers, or something more formal from the home improvement store.  Break your group into two teams.  Set up two piles of marbles on one side of the room, and set two plastic cups at the other end of the room.  The object is to move one marble at a time across the room and into the corresponding cup, using only a piping system.  Each member of the team holds a piece of pipe and tries to line it up to ensure that the marble makes its journey.  If the marble falls during the journey, or the cup spills, the marbles start back at the beginning.
