Six Ways to Dress Your Party Venue Ceilings

Making a space personal for the purpose of a party, work gathering, or other form of celebration can be a challenge.  We do recommend, though, that you start with the ceiling.  A well decorated ceiling will keep the eye moving throughout the rest of the space.

Streamers They are the classic solution and require little more than some twisting and some tape.  The best part is that streamers come in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and textures today, so there is a little something for everyone.  They can also multitask, being used to decorate table edges, doorways and arches as well.

Fabric There is gingham for the country-inspired celebration.  There is tulle for a dreamy sort of theme. And, there are plenty of different laces for bridal décor.  Fabric can be draped from the outer edges of the room, to meet in the center, to be finished with a lighting fixture or a bunch of balloons.  The look is very enticing and will make the space look very complete.

Balloons They don’t have to be limited to the center of the room.  A ceiling covered with helium filled balloons in colors to match the theme of the party are always a winning look.

Lights Small, holiday twinkle lights are so great for setting a mood within a space.  The more the merrier too!  Consider covering the ceiling with lights, but running row after row in one direction, across the room.

Glow Sticks If you are throwing a kid’s birthday party, or a bar mitzvah, then this is certainly a look to consider.  Keep the lights low and let the neon light emitted from glow sticks keep the party hopping.  Create chandeliers with them, or just hang them at regular intervals across the ceiling.

Ivy Whether real, harvested ivy, or the faux variety found in craft stores, ivy can be a beautiful and elegant alternative to streamers.
