Party Decor Trend: Hoola Hoop Wreaths

Decorations can be a huge headache if you’re planning an event. Finding the perfect decoration to match your celebration facility and your party’s style at the same time can be quite difficult unless you get costume made arrangements. However, not everybody has the money to pay for customised decorations. But there’s always a DIY alternative that can look just as good with just a bit of creativity and arts & crafts basic skills.

Hoola hoop wreaths are one of the latest trends in event decoration and making them yourself is rather easy. In fact, here are a few ideas for you to make your own.

  • Balloons

Wrap the hoop with paper or fabric, or you might also paint it with spray, get balloons to cover some sections on the hoop and use a string to hang another balloon with a message in the middle.

  • Flowers and cardboard

Paint the hoop and write a message in the cardboard, cut it out and hang it in the centre of the hoop with strings in each corner to secure it in place. Then, cover the hoop with flowers and ribbons for a really special look.

  • Photos

After painting the hoop or covering it with fabric or paper, grab a bunch of your favourite polaroid pictures and hang them in inside and/or around the hoop.

  • Plants

For a touch of lush and green in your party, wrap some rope around your hoop and use it to secure the plants and vines to it. You can also add flowers and use different kinds of green plants to make the arrangements even more beautiful.

  • Roses and balloons

First of all, you need to carefully cut the thorns from the roses. Next it’s time to create clusters made out of roses and balloons. And secure them with a string around the hoop.

  • Sweets and candy

Paint the hoop with a non-toxic paint or wrap it with paper or candy. Then proceed to secure some candy all the way around the hoop. Then hang a basket or pouch full with sweets and candy in the middle of the hoop secured with strings.

  • Vine and fruits

This makes for a beautiful summer arrangement and is rather simple to make. Take your hoop and cover it with vines wrapping them around it until the entire hoop is covered. To hang the fruit around the hoop you can use hooks and wooden sticks.
